Minor Characters

Information On This Designation

Characters that come under minor are typically only seen for a small amount of pages, some only appearing on a single page.

• Background characters and mentioned only characters with no specific name do not come under "Minor Characters", as such are left out of the Wiki all together.
• A character must be mentioned or must speak in at least one line of dialogue if they make a physical appearance to be considered "Minor", perhaps even having a lot of significance to the plot, however if they are never referred to by an official name they cannot possess a individual page for themselves.
• Characters who have only been mentioned should be identified as such within their section of this article, but not the section title.
• If a character physically appears more than once, has at least one line of dialogue, and has been officially named, they may receive a dedicated page. Creation of a dedicated page for one of the below characters is largely dependent on the amount of canon information about the character.
• Most minor characters do not in fact have an proper name, therefore they will be named after their "Official Transcript Name" provided on the Twokinds comic website. If a character has been dubbed with a alternative name by Tom later on such as Therie Sah-Van or Aerith they will have this name placed in brackets next to their true Official Transcript name, eg. "Tigress (Aerith)". Charaters who have been referred to on this Wiki by other names such as many of the Basitin characters will have they're common reference name placed in brackets next to their transcript name too, eg. "Juror 1 (Female Basitin Juror)". Finally group of minor characters such as the three Hunters and the Western Basitin Sisters will be included all in the same section per group while their collective name will be placed in brackets, eg. "Hunter 1, Hunter 2 and Hunter 3 (Human-Wolf Border Group)".
• Any section accompanied by a black question mark symbol indicate that the character has never been seen in any visual form.

Villager (Dream Villager)

(The Villager as he is referred to on the Official Transcript or "Dream Villager" by this Wiki to differentiate him from other unnamed characters of the same title made his only appearances across Page 14 in Chapter 1 within Trace's dreams during his first night with Flora. It is unknown whether this dream had any kind of flashback relation for Trace or whether it was all just part of a normal dream. Some fans have theorized that the place the Dream Villager is seen in was the small village of Eversummer, Trace's birthplace.)

The Wolf as she is referred to on the Official Transcript or "Dream Wolf" by this Wiki to differentiate her from other unnamed characters of the same title made her only appearances across Page 14 in Chapter 1 within Trace's dreams during his first night with Flora. It is unknown whether this dream had any kind of flashback relation for Trace or whether it was all just part of a normal dream. Shopkeeper

The Shopkeeper tied and bound by Edmund Sirus

The Shopkeeper as he is referred to on the Official Transcript appeared on Page 29 of Chapter 2, he was a male Human and presumably the true owner of the Pinewood Jewellery Store before he was attacked and bound by Edmund Sirus. The Shopkeeper had slightly tanned skin and blond hair while wearing a grey vest with light brown pants as well as a pair of glasses.

The Shopkeeper is only seen for one small shot and it is clear he was tied up by Edmund so he could steal his identity for a while. The fate of the Owner is left unknown and he is never featured in the Main Comic or any other Twokinds related material ever again though the odds are agianst him. Edmund has proven that he is not above killing someone to make sure his plans succeed such as when he brutally murdered the Musclehead General, so in an effort to make sure Trace never found out he could have silenced him for good. Alternatively if Edmund has spared him it is likely he would have been present during the Border Forest Tribe's attack on the village, it is mentioned pretty much all of the Human occupiers were killed so the chance of him being among their number is high. Overall his current status has never been confirmed however it seems this unfortunate man would have been killed one way or another.

Academy Member 1 and Academy Member 2 (Academy Member Duo)

(Referred to as Academy Member 1, as seen on the left, and Academy Member 2 on the right by the Official Transcript and the "Academy Member Duo" collectively by this Wiki make their single appearances on Page 29 of Chapter 2. The pair are seen talking, during a flashback of a few years before the comics events, talking to the then current Grand Templar Mary Silverlock about a new Templar prodigy called Trace Legacy.)

Healer

The Healer talking to Trace

The Healer as he is referred to in the Official Transcript is a male Human character involved in a brief scene during Chapter 3 when the trio first enter Martholm, between Pages 54 & 55, when Trace and Flora first arrive in the human city. The Healer had black hair, brown eyes, fair skin and wore a hooded white robe embroidered with the Templar's mark.

Before arriving at the city Flora had injured her foot running away from a misunderstanding with Trace and Keith, so when they arrived at the city Trace sought out the first form of healer he could find. Although originally hesitant to cooperate, upon Trace's revelation to him that he was the Grand Templar, he changed his tone. Towards the end of healing Flora, he, speculating that Trace was preparing to sell her, mentions that she is a very beautiful slave and that he would consider buying her, before saying that her breasts were too small when referring to the reason he may not purchase her after all.

Flora quickly leaves at this point to demand Trace to answer if he thinks they are too.

Bounty Hunter

The Bounty Hunter as he is referred to in the Official Transcript is a male Human character who served as a minor antagonist throughout Chapter 4, appearing on 5 separate pages and is presumed to be deceased. Whether he was a resident of Martholm or happened to be passing through is unknown but he first appeared with a wanted poster of Trace declaring that the Templar Order had put a large bounty to bring him in and he intended to collect. The Bounty Hunter had spiky yellow hair, blue eyes and white skin. He wore a black robe and had a strange blue mark across his left cheek. The Bounty hunter appeared to be skilled in both swordsmanship and magic, wielding a sword in one scene and using a type of binding spell on Trace as an example of his magical abilities.

The Bounty Hunter seemed very pleased to see Trace, realizing the potential rewards that came with his capture. Though the circumstances are left unclear, he mentions that Trace "sent his family to their graves" which would be his motivation to capture him. It is unknown how, or if, the Bounty Hunter's family was actually killed by Trace before he lost his memories. Regardless, the Bounty Hunter held a great resentment towards Trace. After utilizing the power of the nearby Templar Tower, Trace broke free of his magical bindings and proceeded to change into his "Dark" form, apparently killing the Bounty Hunter, off-panel, with mana dragons.

Villager (Cutaway Guy)

The Villager as he is referred to in the Official Transcript or "Cutaway Guy" by this Wiki to differentiate him from other unnamed characters characters of the same name, appeared only once on Page 224. He is a male Human, and a one-off joke character. He had black hair tied in a ponytail, brown eyes, white skin and was covered in scrapes and bruises all over his body. He wears a light brown vest with dark brown trousers. He is seen farming a plot of land near the forest that Trace and his group are traveling through, he unintentionally breaks the 4th wall while lamenting about how boring his life is and how he's almost being used "as a literary device to momentarily break away from the action. " Lady Nora first appears to save the group from the Dark Mana Dragon covered in a thunder cloud, this shocks the man off of his feet and he wonders what could be causing them to move as they are.

Not much is known about him, but he appears to be depressed at his lacklustre life working on his plot of land, and dreams of having a more interesting life one day.

Girl (Edinmire Girl)

Referd to as just Girl within the Official Transcript and dubbed Edinmire Girl this Wiki was a young female Human, she was also the playmate of Flora and Keiren when they were little, appearing in Page 112 and as a background cameo in Page 407. She has fair skin and long purple hair.

She hurt Flora's feelings one day by stating that she can't be included in their game of "House" because she's a Keidran. Later she can be seen running with Keiren along a roadside away from Flora in another game where Flora is pretending to chase them. Trace's carriage happened to be traveling down that same road at the same time, Flora waved at Trace and this would mark the first time they ever met, but years later neither seems to remember.

Some have speculated the girl to be a young Maren Taverndatter due to the similar purple hair, matching eye colour and similar skin tone. More evidence to support this comes when she appeared then coincided with the present time of the comics. This can be seen since Keiren, as Maren is confirmed to be in their 20s by the current events of the Main Comic. However, there is plenty of evidence to suggest this is not the case due to the fact that the Taverndatter Inn is located in the village of Pinewood, and the events of this flashback on the outskirts of Edinmire, in addition to the fact that Maren and Flora don't recognize one another.

The move from Edinmire to Pinewood, where the Taverndatter's Tavern is situated, could be explained by a family move, however this was debunked by information provided on the "Karen and Maren Taverndatter Characters Reference" page in which it is stated that the two sisters have been living and working in Pinewood most of their lives due to their father's death when they were young. Further evidence to support that Maren Taverndatter is not in fact the same person as the unnamed Edinmire Girl would be from their Official Transcript name, the Edinmire Girl is simply known as "Girl" and not referred to as "Maren". Even in their younger appearances, characters are still shown to be referred to by their name such as Laura during flashbacks involving her. The theory has never been debunked by Tom himself so the presence of a connection between Maren and the Edinmire Girl is still unknown.

King Torval

King Torval is yet to make a physical appearance

King Torval was the former Human King, presumably male due to the Human Kingdom ruling by succession unlike Basitin society. As of Page 344 it was reported that he had been assassinated by the Forest Wolf Tribe, this event caused the already poor relations between the Wolves and the Humans to escalate past the minor racism that the two had shown for each other. The extent of the ongoing war between the Wolves and Humans has been relatively unknown although examples such as the Templar March seen on Pages 598-600 as well as the attack on Edinmire by Clovis' Guild seem to show that fighting is present in multiple areas. The King's death also seemed to pressure the Humans into gaining the favour of the Tiger Clans, as seen by the Tiger Meetings held in Edinmire where the Wolves attempted to intervene.

What the King's personality or his appearance was like is unknown due to him never being seen alive on panel. His direct descendant is also not known and it's left unclear who now rules the Human Kingdom, if anyone at all.

Party Leader

Travel

Travel is yet to make a physical appearance

Travel is one of the guards in Edinmire under the command of Keiren and is tasked with helping put out the fires caused by Clovis' rogue "Templar" Wolf Keidran.

Tanlen

Tanlen is yet to make a physical appearance

Tanlen as he is confirmed within the Side Sketches or Tan- as he is partly referred to during his one brief reference in the Main Comic, was a Keidran servant who's actions, whether intentional or otherwise is currently unknown, resulted in the death of Maren and Karen's father when they were young. Tanlen's name was confirmed by Tom within the Side Sketch "Maren and Karen Ref Sheet" Side Sketch, whereas the one mention of his name in the comics is cut off mid-pronunciation.

His physical appearance is unknown due to having only been mentioned. Given Red's decision to discontinue his explanation to Raine of why Maren is "emotional one minute, distant the next" mid-naming, Tanlen is likely one of the sub-species of Wolf Keidran. Which sub-species in question is difficult to positively identify given the lack of information, however, due to Maren being more apprehensive towards Sythe in particular (even after learning of Raine's Arctic Wolf Keidran form), it is likely that Tanlen is a Forest Wolf Keidran.

Red was aware of how sensitive the topic of Tanlen, was, we are currently unaware if his reasoning is that Maren is particularly affected by Tanlen being mentioned or whether he was just being considerate. Maren and Karen never discuss their father or Tanlen themselves which could suggest they have moved on in a sense, though unlike her younger sister (who may not have been old enough to know her father) Maren still holds some resentment towards the Keidran for what happened.

The fate of Tanlen is unknown as he has not been seen in comic nor has his story, beyond the aforementioned details, been elaborated on. It is likely, by the events of the main comic, that he may have passed away due to the relatively short lifespan of a Keidran, (up to around 20 to 30 years). If he was old enough to be conscious that his actions would have fatal results (between 5 and 7 at the youngest), the events of the comic likely take place, at most (given Maren's age of 20, and 5 years being approximately the youngest age at which a person can retain memories), 15 years after the death of the Taverndatter's father, placing his age at up to 20 years.

If Maren and the Edinmire Girl, are one and the same, the Taverndatter's father likely died within the four years prior to the current events of the comic, while Maren was between 16 and 20, and Karen, between 12 and 16, as, unless their mother was still alive at the time, Maren began operating the tavern in Pinewood after his death to provide a means for survival to herself and Karen.

Feral Tiger

Wolf (Grand Duke of The Border Forest Tribe)

Within the Main Comic he appears on Page 208 in Chapter 7 during a cutaway scene featuring Sythe.)

Wolf (Tavern Wolf)

The Wolf as she is refered to in the Official Transcript, or "Tavern Wolf" by this Wiki to differentiate her from unnamed characters of the same title, made a very small appearance during Chapter 11 on Page 449 during Natani's flashback explaining his and Zen's backstory. The Wolf girl appears to be a female Wolf Keidran with light brown fur, she also has a set of long dirty blond human hair. She is seen wearing what appears to either be a simple grey shirt or a grey dress, though in her one appearance she is obscured by the bar so it is not clear. Her main role appeared to be a minor love interest for Zen, but ultimately their exchange was probably just him attempting to pick her up with stories about the "Magi Brothers" (the nickname given to him and Natani's assassin duo.)

Personality wise the Wolf girl is never really expressed, she only has one line "That's amazing!" in response to Zen telling her a story about one of his many contracts with Clovis' Guild. She appeared to be take a liking to Zen and was very impressed by him. Whether Zen and her ended up seeing each other further is unknown or even if they had any kind of romantic interaction past this brief exchange. As of present the fate of the Tavern Wolf Girl is unknown, she has never made an appearance in the Main Comics or in any Twokinds related material ever again, her only appearance was featured during a flashback where it's actual events took place a while before the events of the Prologue even began. Overall her current fate is unknown and it is unlikely that she will return.

Nayana and Koan

Nayana and Koan, Natani and Zen's parents, were presumably killed in an attack on Natani and Zen's village when they were young, leaving the two orphaned. Much how Trace attempted to resurrect Saria au Gruhen, Natani was desperate to bring their parents back and created a dark magic spell, named "Heart's Desire", self-testing it on multiple occasions in attempts to perfect the spell resurrect the two orphans parents. The spell did not work however and could only bring back living images of what the target individual knows about their heart's desire. Natani had sadly forgotten the faces and voices of their parents, resulting in the spell's failure, forming only faceless forms of what they may have looked like.

The Heart's Desire spell in it's final form has been used in the comic twice by Natani, and both times, the target was Keith. First, when Natani and Zen were attempting to assassinate Trace, Flora, and Keith, and later when Keith requested that Natani use the spell on him, to bring back Laura so he can have some closure.

Unfortunately Natani's efforts were in vain, as even if the spell completely manifests, or, if the spell achieves it's original purpose, which may have been the case with Laura, and resurrects the person's heart's desire, the spell drains away the life force of the target, possibly leading to severe asthenia if the victim ends the spell, or death if the victim refuses to let go.

Therie Sah-Van

Refered to as Tigress 37 originally by fans due to lacking a name in the Official Transcript she was later dubbed Therie Sah-Van by Tom, she has never spoken in the Main Comics however her popularity has eared her a space on the Wiki. Theire has been featured in just over a dozen unique Side Sketches including that of a series of sketches depicting a hypothetical relationship between her and Edinmire militiamen Daniels. In terms of physical appearance she is a standard Tiger Keidran with black, white and orange fur, she does not have extra human like hair like many other Keidran have and instead has her fur tried back in a short ponytail as if her fur was her hair. She wears clothing despite being presumably a wild Keidran nomad like her cousin and fellow Tigers, she sports a cut dress made out of brown cloth along with another piece of cloth wrapped around her chest to act as a bra.

In the Main Comics she has no lines of dialogue but is referred to by Aerith that during the Tiger Meetings happening in town she is attempting to "get a guard out of his armour" before the first night as part of a bet the two made. Theire can be seen in a few panels in the background during Chapter 18 hanging around a militiamen referred to as Daniels, visibly trying to flirt with him. Her main appearances occur in the non-canon Side Sketches as previously mentioned, always alongside Daniels. In her many appearances she is shown flirting with Daniels, although this isn't confirmed canon these interactions were likely happening off panel during Chapter 18. Her biggest appearance comes from the hypothetical situations their cross-species relationship would have caused if they went further past the mere bet that she was originally talking to Daniels in the first place for, some of these situations include introducing both of their respective parents to one another. Whether in the Main Comics Thiere actually had any genuine feelings for Daniels in unknown and the current whereabouts of the two is unclear, however they are possibly aiding in the rebuilding of Edinmire as of present.

In Chapter 21, it’s revealed that she had mated with Daniels while he was reporting to Keiren about the situation at hand, Keiren notices her peeking from behind a wall trying to give Daniels his pants back. Dahlia is revealed to be Therie's mom after the two see each other after Dahlia's discussion with Keiren.

Tigress (Aerith)

Refered to as Tigress in the Official Transcript she was later dubbed Aerith by Tom on May 20th 2018 during a Sketch stream is a minor Tiger character seen in Chapter 19. Appearance wise is a typical female Tiger Keidran, covered in black, white and orange fur. She is seen wearing a purple and black dress during her first appearance when she is seen walking towards the centre of Edinmire, where the tiger peace meetings between the Tiger Clan and the human Templar are taking place. She and her friend Iris are in the middle of discussing rumours about humans when they are approached by Flora who asks them why they, as wild Keidran, would come to a human town.

Unlike Iris, Aerith is much less hostile towards Flora, even going as far as to tell Iris to stop being so mean. Through dialogue with Iris it can be inferred that she is the cousin of Theire Sah-Van. She is later seen again with Iris at the meetings themselves and then again watching on in fear as the Clovis' Guild attacked the town disguised as rogue Templar.

Evals' Family

Evals' remembering his family

Evals' Family is a group of about two dozen or so of Evals' immediate family, that being his multiple brothers and sisters, with twice as many cousins. Evals mentions them in Chapter 20 when talking to Mike and Flora about his plans now that he is no longer a slave. In terms of appearance, they are all typical dog Keidran, like Evals, covered fully in brown fur. Nothing is really known about Evals' family except they live back in dog Keidran territory and he hasn't seen them in a long time due to his enslavement. Now that Evals has been freed, he intends to return to them. It can be assumed his family is a lot older than shown within the comic since Evals only remembers them from when he was young himself.

Not much is known about their individual personalities due to their lack of appearance in outside of Evals' memories in the main comics.

King Ravlen

King Ravlen has yet to make a physical appearance

Ravlen is stated by Keith to have been a former King of the Eastern Basitins. He has not been seen physically due to being deceased by the beginning of the comic, unless one of the statues seen on page 347 is a depiction of previous kings. Nothing is else is known about him beside his position as King, except that he was a male Basitin. It is unknown how long he ruled but it at least encompassed the year 221, it's unknown who the direct successor for him was after his reign ended.

Musclehead General (Arms General)

The Musclehead General, also known by his position as the Basitin Arms General, was one of the three leading Generals of the Eastern Basitin Kingdom. He is the only General not to be given an actual name. The role of the Arms General appeared to be centred around commanding the troops themselves. In terms of appearance, the Musclehead General looks similar to most Basitin, however what set him apart from other Basitin was his heavy golden armour made in a style only he was seen wearing. He also appeared to be very physically fit and strong, a trait that can be assumed contributed to his role as Arms General, as well as being the largest Basitin known, with the exception of the Eastern Basitin King herself.

As far as personality was concerned, he acted like a typical Basitin solider would, loyal to a fault, but seemed slightly self loving and prideful exclaiming how only his "body is the only weapon I need to achieve victory!". He fought Natani and Flora and defeat them when they attempted to reach Trace who was being imprisoned by the Templar present on the Bastadian Isle at the time, defeating and knocking them out easily. After taking them to a jail like building to keep them detained. After awaking Natani and Flora found the remains of the Musclehead General who he was killed by Edmund Sirus, although the two of them did not know this. Although he acted as an antagonist to the main cast Flora did mention that "He didn't deserve to die", at least not the way he did.

Tom was going to make it so that Flora and Natani presumably defeated the Arms General by removing Flora's ankle wraps and clothing items, leading to a catastrophic nosebleed. It was cut from the comic because of time constraints and Tom felt it seemed a bit sexist to have the two defeat him in that manner. He later released it on DeviantArt as the Musclehead Fight Retcon .

Basitin Doctor (Male Basitin Doctor)

Refered to as Basitin Doctor in the Official Transcript, and Male Basitin Doctor on this Wiki to differentiate him from his female counterpart of the same name, appeared on Pages 539-542 during Chapter 12 when Natani first awakens after the Tower's explosion. When the two first meet Natani is noticeably concerned that the doctor knows about his female body, but the doctor quickly points out his mask bindings. The doctor explains that for reasons of decency, and the common belief that many Basitin would not seek treatment for their wounds if they knew they would be exposed, all Basitin doctors operate blindfolded. The doctor goes in to assure Natani that he knows nothing about "her", only going by what he has felt, and besides her race and gender he knows nothing about "her" true identity. The doctor offers Natani a dress to wear which greatly annoyed him, so he asks where his old clothes where and the doctor informed him they were taken to the storage room downstairs. Before they could continue their conversation further, Natani wrapped himself in the hospital bed sheets and headed out, comically without the doctor realising he had left already. Besides his bindings over his eyes, as standard for all Basitin practitioners, the Male Basitin Doctor also wears a standard Basitin doctor uniform consisting of a red shirt and pants underneath a white medical robe (stained in multiple places with blood in his case.) Physically the doctor appears to be a pretty standard looking Basitin, having brown fur, yet his fur is noticeably a very light shade of brown, only matched by a few other examples such as Vehra.

The Male Basitin Doctor seemed to be a generally kind, though he does mention that he is surprised that a Keidran actually cares about modesty, believing it wasn't possible for "your kind". Whether he said this out of prejudice, or naivety caused by the common stereotypes Basitin are shown to have against Keidran isn't clear. Regardless, the doctor did his best to answer all of Natani's questions honestly and when Natani asked if he was free to go the doctor warned him about guards posted in the hallway, but he himself wasn't making him stay if he didn't want to. Overall, the Male Basitin doctor seemed like a helpful, though slightly judgemental, man. The current whereabouts of this doctor in the present day of the main comic is unknown, though he is most likely just practicing medicine like normal back in the Eastern Basitin Kingdom.

Basitin Doctor (Female Basitin Doctor)

Basitin Islander and Basitin Islander (Western Basitin Sisters)

These three Western Basitin Sisters, both speaking sisters being referred to as Basitin Islander on the Official Transcript, are seen after Carver's teleportation spell is interfered with. When the spell was manipulated by Raine Silverlock it caused him to appear on a beach somewhere within the Eastward half of Basidian Islands, there he was faced by the three sisters. They were all dressed in typical Western Basitin cloth robes and have white tribal markings painted along their limbs. While two of the sisters have a shade of brown for fur color, brown being the normal color of both East and Western Basitins, the third sister actually has black fur which makes her the only known black-furred Basitin.

Upon meeting Carver, two of the sisters immediately hold him at spear-point demanding to know what he is doing on their island. The all appear to be highly suspicious and hostile to Carver, or at least eldest sisters do.

Ol' Rinehold

Ol' Rinehold has yet to make a physical appearance

Ol' Rinehold is a native of unknown species (likely Human), and currently mentioned only once, who has reported suspicious activity numerous times to the Edinmire guard, who, in turn discovered little to no evidence of his claims. Much to their ironic frustration, he accurately reported suspicious wolfen activity near the Riftwall East Tavern, which was ignored enough that the wolves could begin their attack in Chapter 18. His history of there being no notable activity caused the guards not to believe his reports even when he was telling the truth, which alludes to the folk story "The Boy Who Cried Wolf." Ol' Rinehold's report to Daniels is likely the reason that Adira, and possibly her daughter, Maeve, were taken by a guard or fake guard at the end of Chapter 20.
