The comic starts with [[Trace]] waking up in a forest clearing, and realizing he has no memories of who he is and his location. After getting up, he hears a cry for help from within the forest. He grabs his sword and investigates. He finds a [[humans|Human]] about to kill a [[Keidran]], claiming that the Keidran is trespassing human territory. Trace jumps in to to defend the Keidran. The human recognizes Trace as the [[Templars|Master Templar]], a notorious Keidran murderer. He leaves the scene and the Keidran in Trace's hands. As the other human walks away, he transform into a [[Ephemural|another being resembling a woman wearing a mask]], who is revealed to have been the one who took Trace's memories away for unknown purposes. Meanwhile, Trace is wondering about the Keidran, how it looks like an animal and whether it is vicious. Ultimately, he decides to leave it alone. The Keidran, surprised that Trace was friendly towards her, pounces on him and decides to follow him.

The Prologue is the first chapter released for Twokinds. It is the shortest chapter in the entire series.

Plot

Trace wakes up in a forest clearing with no memories of who he is, with a backpack and a sword nearby. Upon hearing a girl's cry for help from within the forest, he grabs the sword and investigates. He finds a Human about to kill a tiger Keidran trespassing in human territory for the bounty offered on Keidran by the Templar. Trace jumps in to to defend the female Keidran. The human recognizes Trace as the Grand Templar and leaves the Keidran in Trace's hands. As the human walks away, he transforms into a being resembling a woman, wearing a mask. It is revealed that the mysterious figure took Trace's memories away. Trace is confused about the Keidran, due to being warned that the creature is vicious and dangerous, but seeing firsthand that the creature was not aggressive. Trace decides to leave it alone and continue on the path looking for a city. The Keidran , surprised that Trace was friendly towards her, pounces on him and decides to follow him.
